There aren't enough people working in engineering 和 technology 和 dem和 is going up. So, we need more young people to realise there could be a future for them in those careers. Many of them don't underst和 what the opportunities are 和 the different ways to get into them. We want to change that. 我们需要一个更强大的, more representative 劳动力 for engineering 和 technology to thrive 和 we have to things differently to make those careers more attractive. We want more young people to see engineering 和 technology could offer them a varied 和 rewarding career.

We are a not-for-profit working with hundreds of organisations so we can all grow the future talent pool together. We need more people 和 more diversity 和 we all have a part to play in achieving that.

Activities for schools

A student helps build a bridge from K’NEX

We are keen to exp和 our own activities for schools to encourage more, 更加多样化, young people into engineering, technician 和 tech roles. We use our expertise to focus our work on 11 to 14s while prioritising content related to sustainability 和 are currently developing a new programme around renewables.

We aim to increase the reach 和 impact of our activities for young people through 针对, 测试和迭代. We target our programmes to students from groups underrepresented in engineering, offer bursaries to break down barriers to participation 和 regularly consult with teachers 和 young people to refine 和 improve our offer to them.

We want to see 政策 和 delivery challenges in STEM 和 careers education addressed as well as those in 劳动力 planning for engineering 和 technology.

So, we advocate for 政策 improvements to help ensure young people get the opportunities they need to go into engineering 和 tech. We also actively support vocational routes we can grow the number of young people going into engineering 和 tech careers.
